Application To Vote By Mail

To Vote by Mail in Texas you must be:

  • 65 years of age or older on Election Day​
  • Sick or Disabled​
  • Expecting to give birth within three weeks before or after Election Day​
  • Absent from the county of registration during the Early Voting period and on Election Day​
  • Civilly committed under Chapter 841 of the Texas Health and Safety Code​
  • Confined in jail, but otherwise eligible.​

What if you requested a Ballot by mail but want to vote in person?

  • Take your ballot with you to the polling station, and turn it in to the voting clerk. They will instruct you from there.Sick or Disabled​
  • If you lose or forget your ballot, you can still cast a ballot at the polling station. You will be allowed to vote with a provisional ballot​
